“An estimated 1 million workers are absent every day due to stress. The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work reported that over half of the 550 million working days lost annually in the U.S. from absenteeism are stress related and that one in five of all last minute no-shows are due to job stress”. https://www.stress.org/workplace-stress/

For too long many employers have treated employees like disposable assets. Keep turning up the demands until the employee burns out and quits (or is fired). Advertise the position knowing there was a huge surplus of underemployed, debt burdened, college graduates waiting for a chance to prove they know how to hustle hard.

The good news is that employers that are still utilizing this strategy are entering troubled waters. In Episdoe 36: The People Revolution my guest Judd Borakove talked about the challenges companies are having in attracting and retaining top talent. Many have simply opted to work for themselves.

In today’s episode Omozua Ameze Isiramen and I talk about the importance of rest. Omo, as she is affectionately called knows of what she speaks. She iis an Emotional Mastery, Executive & Neuro Leadership Coach dedicated to helping executives, mid and top-level professionals and entrepreneurs live a life that feels good.
