Twitch Hacked! [Link]

Yes, everyone is already talking about it. Twitch got pwned and their data has been leaked! This includes source code for the site, an unreleased Steam competitor via Amazon (codenamed Vapor), and a list of contributor payouts.

Payouts are missing certain currency streams, but include everything paid by Twitch themselves.

An anonymous 4chan hacker (shocker) posted a 125GB torrent link containing the "entirety of twitch.tv, with commit history going back to its early beginnings."

The hacker claims that this is just part one, with more to come.

GTA Trilogy Remastered [Link]

Take 2 interactive announced in august that they are working on a remaster of the GTA trilogy (Not formally announced)
A tweet with screenshots by @videotech revealed strings of code with the names of the remastered trilogy.
With the new Rockstar Launcher update data has been mined that points to a string of code with the names GTA 3 Unreal, GTA San Andreas Unreal, and GTA Vice City Unreal
Rockstar has stated nothing about an upcoming remastered trilogy so this is exciting news
Thoughts? Cash cow? Distraction from GTA 6? Or giving fans what they want?

CaPCom Capital P-C [Link]

A translated report from Japanese Nikkei is quoting Capcom’s COO as stating that he would like to make PC their main platform going forward.
The hope for them is to have at least 50% of their sales coming from PC related products by 2022 (or 2023). 2023 seems more likely with barely one quarter left this year.
Mentionable growing profits over recent years, and record setting sales along with simultaneous multi-platform releases, instead of console first, likely led to this strategy

Grand Theft Gameboy [Link]

A little bittersweet humor here.. Apparently, a gang of British car thieves have been busted after stealing a Mitsubishi Outlander. They used a device disguised as a Nintendo Game Boy, which is designed to bypass security alarms on modern cars.
The funny part? One of the thieves was flagged on CCTV and eventually busted while driving his own car! The car security bypass thingy was in the car with him, which was in a Supreme Game Boy case making it easily identifiable. Especially when the thief had video evidence on his own phone of the device in action, along with commentary.
3 thieves were caught in total.
