Crypto Alchemy [Link]

Intel has made it clear that they will not be utilizing limiters on their upcoming Alchemist GPUs to deter cryptocurrency mining
Yep. While this is demoralizing to hear for the sake of GPU prices everywhere; Can we blame them?
Nvidia attempted to use hash rate limiters on their later GPUs, but as usual, hacks were just made to unlock them. Perhaps this is why Intel didn’t even bother.
When will this end? Can we just petition to have hardware manufacturers make mining-specific cards? Just give us our GPUs back!!

VR Showdown, Again [Link | Link]

Leaks abound! HTC made an oopsie with marketing material revealing images of the upcoming Vive Flow headset, originally due to show on Oct. 14.
While only a couple days early, those chomping at the virtual bit have seen an alleged price tag of $500 with pre-orders beginning Oct. 15
While the leak doesn’t answer all of hype questions, we already know from earlier reports that the headset will be standalone and aimed for the more VR-casual consumer, but beans are beans!
To keep the spotlight on them, Facebook followed up this HTC’s little leak with a teaser for their “next-gen” headset prototypes
The teaser really only seems to consist of a pic of Zuck wearing one of the proto headsets and mention of a retina resolution display. Honestly I think that tidbit alone is huge! Displays in VR headsets have always been a little fuzzy to me

Call of Duty: Cheaters [Link]

COD: Vanguard releases Nov 5th and with it’s release so does a new anti-cheat system.
Ricochet anti-cheat system will be deployed and needs kernel level permissions on your PC
Is this too much to stop cheaters? Will this bring back the rage quitters?

Banned again LOL [Link]

Amouranth deplatformed again! The twitch streamer was banned from TikTok, Twitch, and Instagram for reasons unknown
The “Ban” was lifted as of 10/11 on Twitch but the content creator is still banned on TikTok and Instagram
The Content creator has not made publicly why she was banned from the other platforms
She’ll be fine as she does net about 1.3 million from her Onlyfans and Fansly accounts.
