Xbox Marks the Spot

Microsoft purchases Activision Blizzard for $69 Billion
This marks Microsoft's second large purchase in under a year as they acquired Zenimax Media for $7.5 Billion in March of last year
This deal is the company’s largest all cash deal on record, largest purchase in gaming history and will make them the third largest gaming company in the world
To elaborate on “largest all-cash acquisition on record:” This will top non-gaming buy-outs such as Bayer's $63.9B offer for Monsanto in 2016 and the $60.4B that InBev paid for Anheuser-Busch in 2008.
All this pending antitrust and regulatory hearings, of course.
Thoughts?

Gut Punched

What does this mean for AB employees?
What about Blizzard’s lawsuits for discrimination and abuse (which we wont go in to here)?
What does this mean for gaming communities?
One step closer to the metaverse
