This lecture discusses key ideas from the early medieval philosopher and theologian, Augustine of Hippo's work, On Free Choice of the Will.

It focuses specifically his discussion in book 1 about what the source of the wrongness of wrongdoing is. Augustine and his student, Evodius discuss whether it is violation of the law or other social norms, passion (libido), desire, or fear, or - as it ultimately turns out to be - the human will.
