Mariel Richards is Head of Strategy & Brand Partnerships at gal-dem.


Gal-dem are an award-winning online and print publication ‘committed to sharing the perspectives of women and non-binary people of colour.’ Through the mediums of essay, music, politics and lifestyle content, they give a voice to the oft voiceless, and are now one of the most prestigious, well respected publishers for doing so.


Already privy to illustration and editing, Mariel got her start at MindShare International; working with the likes of HSBC and Facebook. Though she initially joined gal-dem as a side hustle just 5 months after it was initially founded by Liv Little, it has now blossomed into her full-time, very rewarding, influential role.
