The battle for control of the port city of Mariupol continues in Ukraine.
Ninety percent of the buildings in the city have now been damaged and in the last few hours Ukraine says Russian forces have shelled an industrial compound there.
The city that comes closest to the same sort of sustained damage is Kharkiv, on the eastern border with Russia.
New Zealand freelance journalist Tom Mutch has just returned from there and says the country's second-biggest city has virtually been reduced to rubble.
He spoke to Corin Dann.
