In this episode, we discuss the I in our RISE self-care system, our inner voice. We refer to the work of Byron Katie and her book Loving What Is. We highlight the work of Kristin Neff, an expert in self-compassion who has a test to check your self-compassion. We talk about the things we say to ourselves and how they can support us or bring us down the emotional ladder of our nervous systems. We also mention Danette May and the significance of the phrase "I am enough".  We introduce our circle of loving-kindness meditation as an antidote to negativity and your critical inner voice.
