Colour Specialist and Global Colour Ambassador Mark Wentworth has been studying and working with the transformational power of colour for 34 years. He describes colour as a sign-language of the Soul, Mark has developed a method of translating that language into personal Colour Codes which he then integrates with the archetypal worlds of Carl Jung. With the sole mission and purpose of guiding and supporting people in becoming who they were born to be.

He is the author of Add a Little Colour to Your Life, as well as working internationally teaching about the power of colour.

Colour is just one of those things that just is. It's everywhere in all it's different shapes, shades and tones. On the first level of the Recovery Curriculum we can consider colour from the environmental perspective. Are the surrounding colours supportive to the nature of the environment. A slight change of colour makes a big impact on learning and concentration.My passion is working with colour from the inside-out perspective. Over 30+ years I've developed a way of helping people to understand each other through the language of colour. I've talked in various parts of the world to teachers of all ages about this way of getting to know yourself and others through colour. Carl Jung, James Hillman and many others, including non industrial societies all follow the belief that each person is born with a unique gift for the world. It is only that person who can deliver that gift in that particular way. Jung believed that a lot of our stresses and mental health issues of the time was down to a person not living that purpose. Colour PsychoDynamic Profiling takes one step back and proposes that each person has a colour and that colour expresses itself through ways of relating to and being in the world. For example someone who is Red is going to find sitting at a desk for any length of time without anything physical to do quite difficult. Whereas an Indigo will appear to be in a world of their own and yet they can report back to you exactly everything that has been said and done. If I know my colour I know how I respond to stress and importantly I have tools to help me deal with my stress. As a parent if I know my child's colour I can comprehend his/her behaviours and approaches to life. When I know the colour of everyone in my immediate family I understand why there are tensions and conflicts between this person and that person, but I also know how to deal and work with it. As a teacher if I know who is who from the colour perspective then I know better how to manage the group.As a child when I know my colour I understand why I feel different or act different to some of friends and peers. It's also great when I meet someone of my own colour because we just seem to click and see and relate to the world in the same way. Because colour just is and it is available to use and be in so many different ways we don't have to wait until after the pandemic, we can start now, simply by adding a little colour to our lives.Beyond what colour am I, there's so many ways colour can be used, it's perfect to introduce into mindfulness (even better if you are using your own colour by the way), colour in my mind opens a doorway to a world of possibility and imagination. All we have to do is take the first step, and what colour will that be I wonder?
