This week Mike and Byron interview Harry Makawa about his journey into sports and early age and uncovering that he had chronic illness. At the time of interview Harry is little over 20 days post liver transplant surgery and in this remarkable interview we talk about the role of health and physical activity and his approach to managing his mindset during his adversity with health.

Harry talks about his early years growing up in Africa and then moving over to the United Kingdom, his path to becoming a police officer which was unusual for him at the time and he describes as  more luck.

He discusses The influence the family has had on him as well as professional colleagues in the police force and in hospitals. Throughout the podcast the one thing that becomes clear is his mindset of competitiveness, humour and positivity and how that has shaped his approach to living life fully despite ongoing health issues.

He discusses in detail his ongoing chronic health problems and how he has managed them and maintained a positive mental attitude throughout.

We discussed in detail his recent surgery and his physical approach pre-surgery as well as post surgery following his liver transplant.
