In this message, we consider the first chapter of the book of Titus. Considering the author, Paul, and the recipient, Titus. The hope of eternal life promised before time began…does this really mean something was promised before time? Paul left Titus on Crete to choose leaders. We discuss when this must have happened and the criteria Paul gives for these leaders. Paul speaks of the rebellious who are the opposite and who teach error. He exposes the Cretan character and urges Titus to rebuke them sharply against their tendencies. Some false teachers were teaching law-keeping, which is not appropriate for believers today.
