In this message, Paul argues that the law was not given for the Godly, but for the type of people who would break it. He talks about his own service, and that he received mercy in spite of what he had been in the past. He gives a faithful saying that Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom he is the chief. What does it mean that Paul is the chief of sinners; that he is the worst sinner? He praises God, then charges Timothy through the prophecies related to him to fight a good warfare using faith and a good conscience, since some have left these behind.
