In this message, Paul teaches the Galatians that the law was added for the sake of transgressions until the seed to whom the promises were made would come. He argues that a mediator is never of one, but always standing between two or more parties. The law is not against God’s promises, but the Scripture locks all up under sin until the promise is given as a result of faith in Jesus Christ. The law was a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ, but now we have no more need of a schoolmaster. They were sons of God by faith in Christ, and as many as were identified with Christ had put Him on. We talk about being “baptized” with Christ.
