Ahoy, me fellow scurvy pod-pirates! Today on Podcast Bay: The Podcast, Rob boards the ship of the well-spoken intrepid Tanner Campbell to interrogate him at the point of his cutlass. He has more than two podcasts so as per the rules, we will refer to him with his proper title, PodAdmiral! A man of many (Tri tip) hats, he is the Admiral of THREE podcasts, and he’s not stopping there! He has over twelve years of experience in broadcasting, voice acting, and coaching. He goes into detail about his elaborate recording setup and the tools at his disposal, and it is most impressive if I do say so myself! He waxes lyrical about his love of folklore, mythology, philosophy, sci-fi and mystery. Tanner is a man of conviction, a man on a mission, and he definitely struck gold on those aims. He has lofty goals, as any good pirate would, he will stop at nothing to achieve them. Well, I say, sail on Admiral Tanner! As men of the sea, we know how to get our booty in the end (not that booty!) Take what you can, give nothing back! The wind is at our back, so let’s raise the sails and get all hands on deck for today’s episode. It’s sure to be a treasure trove of information and a jolly good time!

We learn Tanner got his start in Portland, Maine but has since relocated to Denver, Colorado, where his business has grown exponentially. It’s discovered that Tanner also does voiceover and narration work. On top of Podcasting Sucks, he has two other podcasts! Retold Myths and Tales, and Practical Stoicism. He has an elaborate recording booth setup, which was shipped from Spain! Tanner is one of the top 22 most influential figures in podcasting. No small feat! Tanner started out young, in 1989 in fact, doing after show commentary with his sister for a children’s show for their grandmother. He runs a Q&A forum on a platform called Pysma. Tanner reveals he is working on a show that he is planning to pitch to Netflix. He is a big fan of tabletop RPGs, just like our host Rob!Links:
