We learn that Vickie was a business analyst manager for 20 years. When on vacation, Vickie and Larissa watched documentaries that changed their lives and made them decide to go vegetarian. Vickie reveals that she had bulimia as a child, and Larrisa is diabetic and has lupus, which has a huge impact on how they choose to live. Their community is very accepting and free of judgment, prejudice and bullying. Vickie and Larissa are life partners as well as business partners. Larissa also runs a website for junk journalers. Vickie is a huge podcast fan, even listening to them on the job in her old workplace. The very first person that reached out to them is now co-admin of their site. The pair wrote out an entire script to follow for their first podcast together. They are very selective about partnerships and what they promote on their show. Their website is full of resources and recipes for vegetarians. They call their group the Peas and Carrots society. Rob pretends he knows what a tamale is. They have a big pet family!
