Pod Talk Colorcast

68 episodes - English - Latest episode: over 1 year ago -

Casual interviews and relaxing rambles. A human being a human. Stream of conscious musings. These are all descriptions I considered. I've subsequently decided to just leave them all in. Oh, I wish I would have thought of "whatever I feel like god DAMMIT!" back when I was initially typing the descriptions. it wouldn't be intellectually honest to "fix it" tho. The interesting thing is that this works anyways.

COLORCAST #15: "This Episode Contains Containers"

March 08, 2020 05:00 - 33 minutes - 23.2 MB

How many containers can one fit inside the biggest container of them all.. your MIND!!!! That's prolly not true. I mean if our minds could contain more containers we prolly wouldn't do stuff like ponder mortality and question the container we've placed reality in called the universe.  I needed to like take 30 seconds away from the keyboard before typing the rest of this out. I glitched my brain. Anyways this episode contains a lot of container talk and also talk about fingerless guitar play...

COLORCAST #14: "Beings, usings the internet."

March 01, 2020 05:00 - 23 minutes - 16.5 MB

BRE BRE JOINED ME AND WE TALKED ABOUT COOKING AND COOKING CONFLICTS AND SKYRYM AND INSTAGRAM AND REDDIT. Don't be anxious. It's an exuberant set of  all caps words - not a frustrated one.  Support the Show.

COLORCAST #13: "Being Coherent"

February 23, 2020 05:00 - 16 minutes - 11.4 MB

This one is a recon mission to figure out why I want to talk about the thing I want to talk about and how to do that in a way where I don't completely lose whoever is listening to me. Talking points include: Instagram, leaf blowers, Pittsburgh accents, and I think that's pretty much it. Support the Show.

COLORCAST #12: "Dizzy Up the Boy"

February 16, 2020 05:00 - 28 minutes - 19.8 MB

In THIS ramblin' experience I touch on podcast structure via way of Bill Burr, laptop notes, good content vs bad content, acting***, tree stories, cool restaurants/music, good vs. bad content again, goatees, and bandwagoning.  ***NOTE - I refer to Adam Driver as Donald Driver throughout this whole thing.  and now a haiku in the proper time and space three lines gently placed. Signed, Will  Support the Show.

COLORCAST #11: "Are forests scary..?"

February 09, 2020 05:00 - 16 minutes - 11.3 MB

BRE-awna and I turned on a mic during a casual evening conversation. We found ourselves locked in intellectual combat about forests. Are they scary? Are they peaceful? Idk. Prolly a bit of both realistically. Support the Show.

COLORCAST #10: "Energy Bending"

February 02, 2020 05:00 - 22 minutes - 15.2 MB

The human brain cells are fascinating lemme tell ya. Ya sit down somber, say ya wanna be playful, then all of a sudden you're feeling playful. This is weird for me to listen back to. I hope you enjoy it. Support the Show.

COLORCAST #9: Mo(u)rning

January 26, 2020 05:00 - 30 minutes - 21 MB

This one's less joke and more contemplative. I ramble about morning habits, mourning habits, sleep podcasts, and then I sing a Mac Miller song. Support the show (https://open.spotify.com/artist/3kbZvYrDviAFo1hZE8Bg9D)

COLORCAST #8: "Some Actual Thoughts on Racoons"

January 19, 2020 05:00 - 28 minutes - 19.5 MB

In my very first colorcast I saw a log that looked like a raccoon. Somewhere along the way I guess I really started thinking about raccoons.. I talk about some other stuff as well like asking for opportunities vs. asking for distractions and a picture I drew once. Support the Show.

COLORCAST #7: "What should my podcast intro be?"

January 12, 2020 15:00 - 15 minutes - 10.4 MB

I think this episode is quite relaxing. I hope you enjoy it :0) Support the Show.

COLORCAST #6: "Seltzer Commentary"

Seltzer Lawsuits, Scottish Lasagna, Eating Healthy, and Cowboy Bebop. It's another ramblin experience. Bre joined me for this :0) Support the Show.

COLORCAST #5: "I'm Allowed to Feel OK About This"

December 22, 2019 14:00 - 14 minutes - 9.82 MB

sheeeeeeeit. EVERYONE POOPS. Keep that in mind. There was probably some catharsis I got from recording this and there's something uniquely pretty to me about it despite the fact that it's incredibly ugly. I won't subject you to too much of this level of stink moving forward - but I AM allowed to feel OK about the fact that I enjoyed making it. Support the Show.

POD TALK #2: Shawn Haller (Airplane Mode)

December 15, 2019 15:00 - 1 hour - 44.1 MB

Shawn Haller lives in LA and spends most of his time skateboarding, filming YouTube videos for his brother Aaron, and most recently writing music. Over the past year Shawn taught himself piano and wrote his first song which is being released the day this episode airs. The song is called "Airplane Mode" and I think it's really good. I don't think the first song someone writes and releases is normally good, but with Shawn I'm not surprised. There's something in his mentality and the way that h...

COLORCAST #4: "WrastleMANIA. Yum(me) vs. Fear"

December 08, 2019 09:00 - 7 minutes - 5.15 MB

This is a quick one. I'm trying not to be afraid to allow this medium to be a transparent offering of my brain cells. There's prolly a healthy balance tho.. right?  Support the Show.

COLORCAST #3: "Addiction & Guilt"

December 01, 2019 20:00 - 17 minutes - 12.1 MB

Another bike ride rambling to myself about how pretty Pittsburgh is and the nature of addiction. Quality of audio will get better - I didn't originally intend for these recordings to be a podcast. We good. Support the Show.

POD TALK #1: Matt Juergens

November 24, 2019 16:00 - 28 minutes - 19.4 MB

Matt (my brother) and I had a conversation at his apartment. He had just gone to a Japanese House concert and I had just played a dud show. Hanson makes a surprise appearance in our conversation at one point. Support the Show.

COLORCAST #2: "I-99 and Robot Song"

November 17, 2019 18:00 - 24 minutes - 16.9 MB

This one was recorded on my iPhone on the way to NYC. There is a dull roar through-out just cause I'm driving at a high speed. I think it ends up feeling very relaxing once you get used to it but be forewarned!  I'd suggest thinking of these colorcast's as more of a ambience/relaxation tool. This one has a bit more of an arc to it but really it's meant to just be a voice in the room really. I listen to video game walk throughs when I want to relax and that's kinda what inspired these. Enjo...

COLORCAST #1: "Raccoon Log"

November 09, 2019 20:00 - 11 minutes - 7.76 MB

I was riding my bike home from work (meatball palace) and I decided to record some of my thoughts. A few subjects I hit on were looping speech, pretty leaves, my goals for that particular evening, and habits that make it hard to verbalize ideas.  Support the Show.
