Episode 3: I Started Listening to Me with Marsha Vanwynsberghe

In today's episode, Marsha shares her journey through teen substance abuse and how she lost herself trying to save her teens. While also dealing with the opinions and judgments of others. Marsha discusses how her life began to change when she realized that she needed to save herself first to save her teens.

In the process of rebuilding her life and redefining who she was so that she could be a better support to her family, Marsha started by listening to herself and what she needed. Marsha learned that when she truly listened to herself, she realized how unaligned she was within her life and began to take steps to learn what would work for her and her family.

She recognized that nothing would change until she took ownership of her role in the blame she carried towards others in losing herself to the chaos within her world.

The first step Marsha took towards the life she has today was finding a Crisis worker who provided her with tools she could implement and start taking action towards changing her life.

Marsha discusses how pivotal implementing boundaries was in providing safety within her world and how saying no to things allowed her to say yes to herself. But ultimately, the thing that has saved her life and leads Marsha to the life she has today was learning to listen to herself and trust her intuition.

Thank you for listening and sharing!
