Today’s Episode:

Lara Sarver from LS Event Styling sits down for an interview with host Kayce Mae to discuss life as a first-generation immigrant. We explore the difficulties of growing up as the child of an immigrant, the added challenge of being a proud Armenian amidst the tragedy of 9/11, and how to reconnect with your roots while living out your heritage in a new world. Hear what it was like for Lara to live a dichotomous lifestyle: one in her new American world, and one with her heart overseas spending her summers with family in the Middle East. Learn how living with one foot in America and another in her home country has made her the exquisite event planner she is today.

Side note: As we were interviewing Lara on her experiences growing up in both America and places like Beirut, the Beirut bombings were taking place. As soon as Lara and I were finished speaking, we both heard the news and immediately texted each other. Lara was shaken as her family’s businesses were significantly impacted by the bombing. Thankfully, her family is safe. If you wish to donate to help support Beirut, we’ve included the link below.
