Number 1 – How established is the company?

Make sure to look at how established the company is. There are companies out there that are new or just starting out. One of the business aspects of a company that you want to represent or be affiliated with is a company that is established and has little to no debt.

One of the things that people should look at is if the business is established. Know that you are taking a chance, and there is uncertainty there. It’s not for sure that the company will do well. You want to be affiliated with something that will have longevity and will keep on growing. It’s not just stagnant.

It’s typical to look out outward and see things that are attractive to you because you think maybe it’s better over there. No matter how long a company’s been in the industry, if they’re innovative, then they’re going to come out with new products and new things.

Number 2 – Products that you can stand by

Another thing to look for is a product that you can stand by. It’s got to be a product that you believe in and something that you’ve seen to actually work or something that you have experienced.

People buy things from people they know, like, and trust. You build that trust by telling them the truth about things.

Number 3 – Look for Consumable Products

When getting into a new business, look for a product that is consumable or something that you would use every day.

Sarah’s previous company had a product that you don’t really need. It didn’t make a huge difference in her life. The products were luxury items that weren’t necessary. It didn’t make much of an impact on her.

You need to be able to stand behind something that you truly feel very passionate about. You also want something that’s quality and something that’s consumable.

Number 4 – Core Values and Culture

Core Values and Culture are very important. Find out if the culture, core values, and mission aligns with what you are aligned with. Know if the missions and the values that they have aligns with your missions and values.

Number 5 – Team Culture

Find out what is available to you, like training. That is something that you should be looking at before you go into the business. You need to know that you have support and that you have somewhere you can plug into so that you can see the information that you need to accomplish the goals that you have.

A company having that heart-centered approach and that generous approach translates to the team.

In the company component, you also have the comp plan. It’s like knowing that the comp plan is working with you and not against you. It’s working with you, alongside you for you, and hopes you win.

Research about the company

Before you join, do your homework. Take a look at who you’re joining with and who you’re aligning with. Don’t just sign the dotted line because it’s a good deal. If you really want to build a business, it is going to be helpful when you have the leadership in the team to stand behind you and help you along your journey.

Make sure that you ask to look further into the business. Ask for a meeting or if there is somebody that you can talk to to see who else is aligned with you. Find out what they have to offer.

Learning Social Media

Everyone thinks that Millennials should know all about social media and stuff like that. It is so possible to learn if you really want to, and that goes for every single age and every single person. If you really want to learn about social media, you just need a good teacher and need to plug into bringing 100%.

Having a Team vs. Being Alone

You just have to be dedicated and determined. Look and find your sources. When you have a lot of people in your team, you don’t need to go hunting for resources because they bring the knowledge to you. But even if you don’t have a team behind you, you can find it. It’s just going to be more difficult.

Knowing what you want

Make a list of your non-negotiables. Things that you cannot go without or things that you refuse not to have in your business.

Make that list and know what it is that you’re looking for and what it is you want. Write down the vision of which company that you see yourself in and what kind of team that you want to be in. Then go on the search and find that team and take the time because it will make such a difference.
