Sodium is an electrolyte and it’s not something you should be scared of.

If you’re someone who has a healthy blood pressure and you have a good sodium intake, I’d recommend increasing your sodium.

Sodium can help with performance and muscle contraction so it might be worth trying to bump it up.

As you slowly increase it (I’d suggest increasing it by about 300mg per week) you can monitor your blood pressure.

Let's say you have 2500mg a day. You increase that by 300g to 2800mg a day and you stay there for two weeks.

If your blood pressure stays in a good range, then you’re sweet.

If you can increase another 300mg again for another two and it's still in a good range then you’re now able to have a higher sodium diet and it can help with performance.
