A few months ago, Laura was driving by an airport in Florida and spotted a plane unlike anything she'd seen before. She was on the phone with her mom at the time (of course!) and told her about the plane, which had the words 'Flying Eye Hospital' written on the side. Like any good mother, Jan immediately Googled it. We decided this was something we had to learn more about! To help us do that, we welcome Dr. James Brandt to the program. Dr. Brandt is a professor of ophthalmology and vision science at UC Davis and has been on 20+ programs with Orbis and their Flying Eye Hospital.
