. Colossians 3:17, And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Who I Am in Christ – When we are in Jesus Christ, all we do is for his glory. Over the past two thousand years, we have gone a drift quite a bit when it comes to living for Jesus. Somehow, someway, we have separated our “regular” lives from our “spiritual” lives. We’ve made faith a private thing. We’ve said it’s simply between us and God. What we do at work is what we do at work. What we do when we drive is what we do when we drive. What we do on the golf course or in the book club or on the baseball field is what we do there. You get the idea.

And yet, when we believe in Jesus and submit our lives to him, it should affect every single part of our life. That’s the whole Lordship issue. Jesus is not simply Lord of our lives on Sunday morning or Lord over part of our lives. Jesus is Lord over the cosmos, the world, the nation, the church, our families, and ourselves! If Jesus is Lord, then nothing else can be. That means that all we do, all we do, should be done for Jesus. This is hard. I know it. But in Christ, all we do is for Jesus. Just let that resonate a bit.

Let’s pray… Lord Jesus, I am yours. I am not my own. Help me live like it. Amen. .

Our staff and leadership employ what's called the “S.O.A.P. Method”. It stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Each day, we read one or two chapters of Scripture and focus on one particular verse. We make some observations about how that verse touches us, discern how it applies to our lives, and offer a prayer related to what we have read. - Rev.
