. Hey New Hope, welcome to the Daily SOAP. My name is Zach Alexander, and I’m the worship director. Today we’re going through 1 Corinthians 3, verses 18-19.

1 Corinthians 3:18-19 – Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.

In Christ, we are…foolish? Not exactly, but following Jesus sometimes looks foolish to today’s world. Every which way we look, we see a world that thinks it has it all figured out – that you need to live in a specific way to be successful. But our success is not defined by this world; it is defined by how we serve Jesus with our lives. Today, I challenge you to live like Christ and serve those around you over yourself.

Let’s pray – God, we love you, and we thank you for loving us when we don’t deserve it. Inspire in us a servant’s attitude over a selfish one so that we can honor You with our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen. .
