. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Who I Am in Christ – In Christ, we are new people. When we believe in Jesus, we are no longer defined by our sin and brokenness. The Holy Spirit makes a home within us and begins to change us from the inside out. We are now defined by the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We are born again and become new people.
In addition, as Paul discusses in this chapter, we are new creatures with a heavenly destiny and a glorious inheritance. Think about your life before and after Jesus. How are you a new creation? How have you seen the Holy Spirit shape and transform your life and your heart? Are there still pieces of your old life that you have allowed to remain and fester? What are you going to do about that?
Let’s pray…Jesus, I am a new creation in you. I seek to reflect you in all I do. More of you and less of me. Amen. .
