This week, in honor of Suicide Prevention Month, I talk about my experience with suicidal ideation and how you can help someone struggling. I emphasize how important it is to combat depression and suicidality with connection and validation in addition to asking for help when you need it. I also give advice about what to do if someone near you is feeling suicidal and how to get them help without it being at the expense of your mental health.
