BC Federation of Labour calls for boycott of four hotels where workers are on strike

Those are the sounds from just outside our CKNW studios as it happens, over at the Hotel Georgia in Downtown Vancouver. That’s where workers have been off the job after negotiations between Unite Here Local 40 and employers broke down last month.
It’s one of four hotels where workers are on strike.
And this morning, the BC Federation of Labour is calling on the general public to boycott those four hotels.
They are the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, the Westin Bayshore, the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront, and the Rosewood Hotel Georgia.
Laird Cronk is the President of the BC Federation of Labour. He was on the picket line a few moments ago and he came upstairs to us here at our studios to tell us more about the strike action and today’s call for a boycott.
