Dr. Franco, is a psychotherapist and Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator with over 14 years of experience in different clinical settings, both in the US and Europe. She is the owner of Life Solutions Services, a practice dedicated to providing psychotherapy, psychological evaluations (in particular for immigration purposes), family mediation and training.

Dr. Franco holds a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Sexology, a unique field that allowed her to specialize in the treatment of sexual trauma, female sexual dysfunctions, and gender dysphoria.

Dr. Franco is a Certified Trauma Specialist and is a member of the Trauma Institute International. She has extensive experience with PTSD and is trained in the Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing approach (EMDR). She actively collaborates with the Franciscan Center of South Tampa in facilitating their First Responders Post Trauma Training, a unique program tailored to help police personnel, EMTs and firefighters in processing and resolving traumas associated with their line of work.

Dr. Franco is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an approach based on the scientific study of attachment theories, adult love and bonding processes in relationships.  This approach is designed to address distress in the intimate relationships of adults. Strategies from emotionally focused therapy can also be used in family therapy to help family members connect and improve emotional attachment.

Additionally, Dr. Franco is trained in Facial Expression Recognition and is a standing member of the Italian Association of Facial Recognition Analysts.

Dr. Franco treats individuals, couples, and families. She treats people age 18 and older. Additional areas of expertise include mood disorders, schizophrenic disorders; work with the LGBT population, military families, and group dynamics. She is also an approved supervisor for clinical social workers in the state of Florida and is available to work with interns towards their licensure.  Furthermore, she holds an advanced certification in Hospice and Palliative Care and has worked extensively in the field of grief therapy creating, among other things, one of the first suicide loss support groups in Hillsborough County.
