Patrick Montoya is from a small coal mining town in Utah and now resides in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. He went to high school with our show host, Tiffany. Patrick was raised primarily by his great grandparents because his parents had challenges of their own.

Patrick was incarcerated for 5 years where he spent a lot of time reflecting on his victims, police officers, that as he put it, “Didn’t go home to their families that night.” This wasn’t the first time he had altercations with law enforcement, having been arrested multiple times.

Patrick hid his binge drinking from his family until they finally found him out. Once he was able to ask his family for help, instead of hiding his problems, he began to have his “moment of clarity” and realize that his life had a better future than the path it was on.

“On Friday, Patrick Montoya will be back again, talking about overcoming substance abuse and incarceration. We know many people are in recovery, and yet unable to take advantage of many of the programs and resources they might normally use when the world isn't in a pandemic, so I'm sure Patrick will be willing to answer any questions you may have about how he, and others, are coping. If you recall Patrick's previous visit to the show, you know his story is, much like Jeneen's, a powerful one.

We hope you'll make time to watch and/or listen, and maybe even call in and add your voice. “
