Stories are powerful and so are women’s voices.

Mind of Her Own is a podcast that features inspiring conversations with women who are breaking down the stigma and busting through the shame of mental illness. In this debut episode host Julie Trites talks about the power of personal stories and the power of women’s voices. She shares how her own experience with postpartum depression and generalized anxiety inspired her to publicly share her story of recovery and encourage other women to speak up and ask for help. She also highlights some of the gender differences related to mental health and the unique challenges women face when it comes to staying mentally healthy.
