Quote From the Episode:

“There is no discrepancy between a man owning his masculine edge and honoring his god given sexual nature”

– Zan Perrion

About Zan Perrion:

Often referred to as a modern day Casa Nova, Zan Perrion is living an interesting life. Originally from the wilderness of Northern Canada, Zan moved into the city where he led a corporate career, only to leave everything behind to travel the world with nothing but a carry-on bag. Since then, Zan Perrion has been an author, actor, speaker and most importantly a coach who helps men in their romantic lives. He is a unique man in that he truly loves women and lives life with a great sense of freedom.

The Highlights:

It makes no sense to hide or apologize for your desire and love of women.
Being dirty and direct with women; our sexual nature is a god given right and we should not subjugate it.
The difference between a sexually forward man who is liked by women and one who makes them feel uncomfortable is empathy.
Compliments are effective and well received when delivered by a secure man without an agenda.
The Madonna and the Whore are two innate qualities present in every woman. The man who can tap into both is adored by women.
Naturals: no one is born with it. Successful men acknowledge their deficits and show up anyway.
Zan’s thoughts on relationships.

Show Summary:

Zan Perrion has at times been described as a womanizer, which he has never tried to defend. In fact, Zan genuinely loves women and sees no reason to apologize for it. As he puts it, “I don’t believe you should ever apologize to anyone for no slight”.

This mindset is perhaps best captured by his very direct form of communication with women. He easily states his desire without shying away from using sexually explicit language. Zan firmly believes that our sexual nature is a god given right and is critical of western society, which has taught us to subjugate it and be “sensitive, asexual males”.

We compare a guy who communicates his sexual desire very directly and is liked by women vs. a guy who makes them feel uncomfortable. The difference, Zan explains, is Empathy. When you have empathy, there is an honor and respect that you command with your actions and your words as you communicate with a woman.

Expanding on this notion of full transparency, we explore compliments and how they can work or fail. Zan’s take on compliments echoes what we heard from Chante Salick, when we got a woman’s perspective, in episode 3. Compliments are well received by women when they come from a man who is secure in himself, is on his life’s path and who gives them without an agenda. They come off as weak and unattractive when they are given by a man, whose sense of self is wrapped up in the woman and who gives them with the expectation of getting something in return.

Zan also explains the age old, Madonna Whore complex, which are two innate qualities present in every woman. The Madonna represents the motherly instinct in a woman while the whore represents the naughty girl. Academic research and real life experience has demonstrated that these two qualities are present in every woman. Zan explains that men who, by conventional standards should not be any good with women, can do very well by awakening both of these innate qualities in her.

Nearing the end of the episode, I ask Zan for his definition of a natural, which has been a grossly overused term in recent years. He explains that success with women is learned; no one is born with it. We all have some personal deficits. So the difference between a man who is successful in anything and one who is not, is in that the successful man knows his deficits and shows up anyway.

Advice:

There are a lot of beautiful women who are fundamentally lonely because men do not approach. Start by doing what 98% of men will never do: show up.
