Leaders take the blame, and leaders reap the glory.

This is an oversimplified sports analogy, but it applies to meetings the same way it can apply to any organization with a hierarchy. As meeting leaders, we can't always control their surroundings or make other adults comply with directives, but we do have control over our own actions in these environments.
