#38: Today, I’m joined by business owner, content creator, model, activist and actress Dom Roberts. You might remember Dom from episode 2, and I wanted to have her on again to talk about Black joy. She explains what it is, why it's important, how we can promote it, and so much more. We discuss the mainstream media portrayals of the Black community and ways that we can work to shift that narrative. We also talk about creating safe spaces for inclusive talent and the best ways to support Black people in a way that actually makes an impact.

Today, Dom and I talk about:

What the concept of Black joy means to Dom  How society can raise awareness of Black joy  Media that is making a difference in how society sees the Black community and experience  Pushing back on performative activism  Dom’s favorite Black content creators

“Black joy feels like a safe place where I can be myself and experience my blackness without feeling judged or critiqued by the world.”  #MAYFAIRWORLD
