In this episode, Cheryl and Kyle discuss:

Lessons learned from dark times  What is more important?  Learning how to FLY and feel AWE Loving others valiantly

Key Takeaways:

Comparing ourselves to others is never beneficial. Setting goals for ourselves is good but being too attached to your big goal could prove detrimental to your psychological health since life doesn’t often pan out as we expect it to.  Giving all you’ve got until you’re empty is a sure path towards burnout and even worse conditions like depression. Being alive is more important than trying to be perfect.  Finding your phoenix means reigniting the light in your life and learning to FLY - which means, “First, Love Yourself”. After learning to FLY, learn then to be in AWE - the feeling of being Always Worthy and Enough.  To LOVE is to Love Others Valiantly Evermore. Valiant is a word we’d use to describe someone who’s willing to fight for something that matters.

“We have to feel. This life is all about feeling. When we suppress feelings, they come back louder and eventually explode.”  —  Kyle Beers
