It was a rough weekend for the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox lost two of the three games to the Texas Rangers this past weekend as fans expressed their frustration on Saturday by chanting 'Fire Tony'. Despite scoring 23 runs in the series and rolling out a fairly consistent lineup, the White Sox could not overcome their pitching problems. The Chicago White Sox bullpen really struggled on Saturday and Sunday, especially in extra innings. On Sunday, White Sox starter Michael Kopech, only lasted 13 pitches due to knee discomfort. Injuries continue to hamper the White Sox. One of the few bright spots continues to be the play of Jake Burger. The has definitely made the most of his playing time. The White Sox begin a three game series in Detroit against the Tigers and are welcoming Lance Lynn back to the rotation as he starts on Monday for the White Sox.
