An outstanding performance from Dylan Cease as the Chicago White Sox beat the Houston Astros, 3-2. It almost looked like it was going to be one of those White Sox nights where fans shake their heads and say that our starting pitcher deserved better. Yasmani Grandal had a huge solo HR to tie the game up at 1 a piece and then Andrew Vaughn delivered with a two run double to help put the Sox on top. Dylan Cease was brilliant. He had 10 strike outs and zero walks in his 6+ innings of work. Reynaldo Lopez nailed things down for his first big league save of his career and he helped Sox manager Pedro Grifol get his first win as a big league manager. It was not all magical for the White Sox. They had a couple baserunning issues and were a pathetic 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Sox get right back at it and send Lance Lynn to the mound in Game 2 of the four game series in Houston.
