Chicago White Sox baseball is back. Dylan Cease takes on Jose Abreu and the Houston Astros. The last game of the 2022 season for the White Sox, a 10-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins, was the final memory of a very disappointing season. The past is a place to learn from, not live in. The White Sox, under the leadership of Pedro Grifol, are ready to get back to work. The Houston Astros are the defending World Series Champions and reloaded with South Side staple, Jose Abreu. The Sox were (3-4) against the Astros last year and lost two of their three games in Houston. Dylan Cease has not fared well against Houston but nobody from Houston's lineup has really done well against Cease. Houston's left-handed starter, Framber Valdez, is a good one and has had success against the White Sox throughout his career. There are some new faces to the White Sox roster like Andrew Benintendi and Oscar Colas and some faces that we hope stay on the field all year long like, Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert and Tim Anderson. The Sox and Astros kick things off Thursday night on ESPN.
