Patrik Nemeth was only the beginning when it came to former players returning to help the Avs team achieve their goal of a Cup. Joe Sakic brought back another familiar face when he made a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks to bring back fan favorite Carl Soderberg in a trade day deal. When the trade season concluded, the Avs made three deals, all depth deals, but all important ones as each of these guys is going to see action and be important pieces of the puzzle to bring a Cup back to Denver.

On the ice, the Avalanche continued to roll in a hard fought 4-2 win over Arizona. The Coyotes threw everything they had at Colorado, but the Avs are flying high right now, and even when they are off their game, they still are finding ways to win.
