Avalanche fans know Devan Dubnyk and know him well. Did they ever think he would be wearing the burgundy and blue and fighting with the Avs to win a Cup? I think most would be willing to admit that day would never come, but it has. Joe Sakic shored up the one remaining hole in obtaining Dub from the Sharks in an early Saturday morning deal, a day after bringing back Patrik Nemeth from the Detroit Red Wings. Dubnyk will be the one to spell Philipp Grubauer when needed and this move comes as Jonas Johansson has put together a string of games where he has improved every game since joining the Avs. What once was a huge question mark for Colorado is now a position of improvement, and the Avs might not be done dealing yet.
