The Colorado Avalanche lost to the Philadelphia Flyers on a recent east coast road trip. Even though the Avs were down several key players, many felt like they still should have beaten a struggling Flyers team.

Goalie Pavel Francouz was given his second straight start after a solid output against St. Louis and he again performed admirably.

The bottom line is this roster of Avs have come a long way in a short amount of time, and it's showing.
