The Colorado Avalanche might have gotten back two big pieces of their roster in the last two games with Val Nichushkin and Artturi Lehkonen, but it was Mikko Rantanen who provided the Avalanche with the goals needed to put an end to their losing streak.

Rantanen found the net for the third time 29 seconds into OT to give the Avalanche a much needed two points in a win against the still struggling St. Louis Blues.

They almost blew it when former Avalanche Brandon Saad put home a short handed goal with just over a minute to play. Put with the Avalanche still on the power play, and now their goalie pulled, Rantanen put home a sitting puck behind Jordan Binnington to send it to OT, and the rest is history.
