The Colorado Avalanche made a couple moves Monday. One signing veteran, and preseason PTO player Alex Galchenyuk for the remainder of the season. The other was calling up prospect Jean-Luc Foudy for his first action with the club.

The Avalanche continue to be decimated by injuries, but it is also giving them an opportunity to see what their up-and-coming prospects can do, and now it's Foudy's turn.

The Avs likely would have offered Alex Galchenyuk a contract had he not gotten injured in the preseason. Coach Jared Bednar stated then that he liked what Galchenyuk offered the team, so it's no surprise they brought him back and signed him with all the injuries the Avs are suffering.

Can either or both of them make an impact tonight against a very tough Winnipeg team? This should be fun to watch!
