The Colorado Avalanche couldn't do anything right in Tuesday's matchup against the Winnipeg Jets, while the opposite was true for the Jets. Winnipeg did what not many teams have done to the Avs this year. Punish them for all the injured players the Avs have on the sidelines.

Sure, the Avs had 40 shots on goal, but next to none were high-danger shots that challenged Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck. And the Avalanche power play, #1 in the league, struggled to get anything on net.

It was a challenge and one we thought would have happened weeks ago when Avs players started dropping like flies. Despite those injuries, the Avalanche have been playing well, but against Winnipeg, it caught up with them.
