Today's Storytime with Mr. Black is a double gift.  Mr. Black shares one of his favorite quotes by Valerie Cox, 'The Cookie Thief', and a piece by Charles Fulgrum from, 'Everything I needed to learn I learned in Kindergarten.  We can see in the world much chaos and strife.  Hurting people, hurting people.  We have the tendency to judge ourselves by our intent and judge others by our perception of their intent.  If we would give people the same mercy, grace and understanding that we want from others many of life's miscommunications would never happen.  We also need to figure out what to do with our past.  Too many people are living in the trauma and drama of their past, getting stuck in the 3 R's of Survival; Regret, Resistance, and Resentment. There are many things that we were taught as children that we need to remember as adults so we can play nice again.  We must learn to learn from the past, but not live in it.  Dream of a future, but we live in the NOW!  Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mystery.  Today is the present, so we must treat it like the gift that it is.
