Tamu Lewis is a parent support coach, mental health advocate and founder of the non profit, Lee Thompson Young Foundation. She founded the LTY Foundation after losing her brother to suicide in 2013. Her brother struggled in silence with Bipolar Disorder, never sharing with his friends or coworkers. This has strongly influenced her passion for mental health advocacy in schools, communities and organizations.
In our interview she shares how parents can recognize signs of a mental health disorder, what to do and how to support them in their mental health journey.
