61: Casey A. - first call

🔸 Casey is a friend. A compulsive-eating part won’t speak, then vanishes entirely. Perservering, she finds something miraculous. We laughed! We cried!



🔹 Part (Location, Fear, Rather be doing, Age, Needs):

- The grasping, frantic part compelled to eat, it takes over. The Tasmanian devil - Afraid she will die. Won’t have fun. - rather be exploring, out meeting people, time without kids - thinks she’s 4? (maybe a different part said that) - needs to be listened to and brainstorm fun stuff



🎓 What I'd like to do differently:

I had concerns I might be distracted because Casey and I have known each other outside of IFS for a couple years. A part of me wanted to over-prepare, to really really get this one right. Plus we recorded in the morning when my energy is usually buzziest. Fortunately today was “bring your inner 4 year old to work day” for me, so I thanked those protector parts and instead focused on fun and comfort when preparing.
