🔸 1️⃣ A fawn down in a flood zone.
2️⃣ The 9 year old has a name.

🔹 Parts:

1️⃣ The wall. 12 year olds on the left, everyone else on the right.
Skipping part is 7, needs mommy and daddy. Waiting for someone to come. Wants her dog and pizza
2️⃣ Apprehensive protecting:
9yo lacking a bucket of roses/flowers, water, paper and some crayons, a life. Her name is Rose. Why crying so much, why soggy shoes?

🎓 What I'd like to do differently:

1️⃣ Before the call Clare updated me about a recent major emotional event, and sadness around that. I think that might explain some of the pace/depth here. I felt like I was not very facilitative around that, and a little too “stick to the script” early on. But that’s my protocol when in doubt. My presence was weak; I too had an emotionally draining past day.

But on the bright side, I think this is still powerful work. Sometimes you show up at the gym with your workout buddy, both "feeling off”, but still put in the time, still reap the rewards. A new part/name in the book, a new outlook for 4 parts, and a plan to keep connecting? We’re in the right place, heading in the right direction.

2️⃣ I can feel my abilities being stretched. The way Clare navigates and communicates is *just* different enough. She isn’t an IFS geek like some of us, so there’s a kind of freshness to our work, no “I know the textbook answer” parts interfering.

I wasn’t so warm, and I wasn’t so curious. Same with call before, I have dot-connecting parts up. Not so much laying down track for intense energies, more like tossing lillypads. Or flower petals. Some sink, some she skips along on. But we don't go in straight lines.

Feels safe though. One needn't be an IFS devotee to have a bright shining Self devoted to parts.
