At five years old, my three sisters and I lost our mother to mental illness. At 13 years old I became a drug addict and a junkie with two resulting overdoses. Only completing the 10th grade, I then left all academic institutions behind.I pulled myself out of my own little hell and traded it all in for a career as a professional cyclist and a global corporate business executive.
