IT'S SEASON 2! And since the hosts are giant reading nerds, we're happy to start off this season with our new theme, BOOK IT! - Book to Film Adaptations. And what weirder way to start a new year than with the 1988 acid-trip, The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking?! Based on the hugely successful Swedish book series by Astrid Lindgren, Graham introduces Katie and Ashley to this giant mishmash of insanity. "Starring" (a term we use loosely) Tami Erin, Eileen Brennan (from Clue!), Dennis Dugan (who would later go on to direct Happy Gilmore, Problem Child and Big Daddy), and a bunch of other horrible nobody actors, this film follows Pippi's adventures with two children as she tries (not?) to murder them. Also, get ready, the theme song, like Pippi, will haunt your dreams FOREVER...PIPPI LONGSTOCKING IS COMING IN TO YOUR WORLD...
