On today’s episode of Leafy Podcast, our hosts sit down with Rob Anderson, President of BV Capital (a private investment firm focussed on commercial real estate for accredited investors). Rob compares different types of investments with what you could invest in with real estate to examine the advantages and disadvantages for both. Rob tells us that historically, real estate is high-demand for investors because real estate is an asset-backed investment. Smart investors gravitate towards illiquid investments, such as real estate because of the advantages and returns real estate has to offer. At this moment, Rob suggests taking advantage of multifamily and industrial investments and holding on hotel assets and senior living facilities due to the current pandemic situation.  He tells us that real estate is a great investment diversification and has the added tax advantages that investors benefit from as well.
