#004 It was great to catch up with Sean who has gone from hotel operations to the mining industry; open cut. Sean is the only Wallabies supporter in his entire extended family of All-Blacks tragics. Caring not for Rugby Union, he's a family man, podcast host of Beneath the Surface podcast and lover of all things mining who struggles to say no to an opportunity. Hence his inaugural appearance on Leadership in Hazardous Industries on a weeks’ notice.

With a background in hotel operations, Sean jumped at an opportunity to join the mining industry as a trainee surface operator during the resources boom in 2011. After completing a Master of Management (Human Resources), he transitioned from the coal face to the corporate world to follow his passion of helping and supporting the amazing people that make up the global mining industry.
